Was sitting next to two locals on the plane from ATL to CHS and asked what their favorite BBQ joint is. They both said hands down, Martin's BBQ. We're staying in Folly Beach and Martin's is super close. The restaurant is quite large with both indoor and outdoor seating and a few different bar areas as well. They also have a drive thru and a carryout area. I had the brisket with fries and mac n cheese. The brisket was amazing, tender, smoky. The mac n cheese was okay, but the fries were absolutely stellar. They have 3 sauces-- a mustard base, a vinegar base and a thicker sweeter sauce. All good. My friends LOVED the ribs and the smoked turkey. Service was efficient and very friendly. It was a cold, rainy Monday night so it wasn't that busy. But the food was still fresh. We'll be back!!!! Recommend for sure.

Good food for a good price! Got the ribs and brisket, broccoli salad and potato salad.. the potato salad was a bit more vinegar flavored than I typically like, but everything else was fantastic! The dry rub was delicious, also tried the wet ribs as well, and they were really good! Can’t wait to come back!

Great BBQ right here on James Island. Hidden slightly off Folly Road is Martins. A terrific, friendly staff, plenty of space to spread out in the dining room, the bar area or outside. Today's visit i found the ribs a little tougher than usual. A little fattier too. Still good. Also tried the dry tub smoked wings which were juicy and tender. Pulled pork was excellent.

Super cute place, food came fast. I had the half chicken and my husband had the wings and ribs. Everything was delicious. Love that their was a fruit option for the kids sides, happy to see their home made bbq sauce had minimal ingredients, dry rub was just real spices and soybean oil( wish they didn’t use that) staff was super friendly. The home made chips were SO good! And the green beans were delicious too!!

We stumbled upon Martin's BBQ on our way to Folly on 5/23. What a gem of discovery this place is. The BEST BBQ we've had in SC! We decided to come back the very next day 5/24! I ordered the pulled pork both days. It melts in your mouth, absolutely delicious! Hubby ordered the brisket sandwich on Friday, he said it's the best he's had. Unfortunately they sold out of brisket and ribs on Saturday so he opted for the turkey. He said it was good. The bbq chicken wings, coleslaw, mac n cheese and baked beans are all amazing. I highly recommend Martin's. Run don't walk to get absolutely phenomenal BBQ

Y’all, Martins is always great. I love the fried catfish sandwich (ask for no onions when ordering if you don’t care for them). The pulled pork shoulder sandwich with slaw on top is excellent. The pork has a slight heat to it and it’s really tasty. The fries are fresh cut and the mac and cheese is super tasty. They also do an admirable job with sweet tea!

On a trip from up north and always like to find a local bbq when on the road. This place was inviting, the staff was friendly and the food hit the spot. Couldn’t ask more, thanks to all of the staff and the owner for a great experience.
